The history of EngView can be traced back to 1996 when SIRMA initiated a research project for a new parametric design CAD system. The resulting unique variational-parametric technology was developed through investment of more than 80 person-years of research & development work. EngView was then formed as a division with its own marketing and R&D capacity. We plan to enter a variety of sheet material CAD/CAM software markets worldwide.
The first application of our technology was in the area of carton & corrugated packaging with a line of products, first released in 1999. The design and digital production of gaskets is the second area of application. The software products were developed through a partnership with European and US-based companies.
Currently we distribute our products through a network of value-added resellers worldwide supported from our main office in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and our R&D office in Sofia, Bulgaria.
