Visualizing components

Components' visibility is different than that of regular objects. To view a component on the screen, you need to specifically set its visibility.

Hiding components

On the screen

In the tabular area

The component disappears from the screen. In the tabular area, its icon is dimmed to indicate that the component is hidden.

NOTE: If you export or print out a drawing that has hidden components, these will not appear in the exported or printed outputs.

Unhiding components

Since a component is not visible on the screen, you cannot access it there. Unhiding it takes place in the tabular area.

  1. In the Layers & Objects tab, in the Type column, locate the component. HINT: Its name is dimmed.
  2. Right-click the component, and then click Show on the context menu.

The component now appears at its place in the design of which it is part.
