When you are drawing, EngView puts the objects that you draw into layers depending on their roles. For example, the objects that apply to the structure — Cutting, Creasing, Perforation, Zippers, Vector Text — go automatically in the Structural Design layer. Explanatory texts and annotations go into the Auxiliary layer, and images go into the Color Print layer. In general, layers are connected with either how the structure will be produced (highlighted in yellow) or the printing jobs, including the application of finishing effects (highlighted in blue):
