Saving shortcuts as individual packs

After you have set keyboard shortcuts for modes, menu commands and toolbars, you can save them into a .kbs file for safe keeping and later use. At any time, you can load it, to use the specific shortcuts you have set.

TIP: The default shortcuts pack consists of 98 command shortcuts and if you need to edit it, you will spend a lot of time editing. If you want to start from scratch, you can load the Windows_Standard_Shortcuts.kbs pack, which has only nine commands. You can then use this set to build your own set of command shortcuts in much shorter time and with much less effort.

To save shorcuts in a separate pack

  1. On the Tools menu, click Preferences, and then click Shortcuts.

The Shortcuts section opens at its starting page.

  1. Click the Save As button.
