Setting keyboard shortcuts for modes

You can set keyboard shortcuts for various modes across EngView. You can set shortcuts to the modes you expect to work with most often, and leave without shortcuts those you will not use frequently.

To set a keyboard shortcut for a mode

  1. On the Tools menu, click Preferences, click the Shortcuts node, and then click Modes.

The Modes section opens.

  1. In the list, select the mode that you want to set a shortcut for. This highlights the row.
  1. Press CTRL and then press the key that you want to use for the shortcut.

TIP: You can press multiple keys for the shortcut: hold down CTRL and press them one after the other. Watch the respective letters appear in the Shortcut box.

In the shortcuts list, the newly set keyboard shortcut appears in the Shortcuts column.
