Defining custom background colors

Using the following procedure, you can define:

• Your own background colors to add to the list of available colors. You can then select these custom colors when exporting 3D scenes in image file formats.
• Colors in material surface appearances.

To define a custom background color

1. Drag to the bottom of the list, and there click Custom.

The Color dialog box appears.

2. Click Define Custom Colors.

3. To define the new color, do any of the following:

• Drag across the color definition area and color bar until you find the color that you want to use.
• Type color values in Hue, Sat, Lum, Red, Green and Blue.

4. To save the new color, click the plus sign .

The New Edge Type Preset dialog appears.

5. Type the name of the custom color, and then click OK.

The name appears in the drop-down combo.

6. Click OK.

The color is now listed in the Background color dropdown list of colors, and you can select it from there.
