Diemaking module basics

The Diemaking module controls the creation of dies, starting from a 1up design up to a fully functional die. The diecutting functionality encompasses the design and production control of cutting dies and stripping dies.

Structure of the die design process

When you use Prinect, you design a die goes by going through the following three stages:

  1. Dieboard selection. Here you add stripping knives and compensating rules, as well as optional additional features — a statistics table, a handle hole.
  2. Stripping dies design. This includes the marking-off of die contour and the design of the male and female stripping dies.
  3. Counterplate design. This includes the positioning of counterplate markers and the assisted generation of a counterplate.
