You might encounter situations in which what you draw on the screen is not represented correctly in the contextual edit bar in the units of measurement and precision that are set for your installation. This is especially the case when you are working in fractions — because of mathematical limitations, the display of fractions may fall short of showing the precise value of the drawn objects.
In this case, to see a precise value, it is best if you switch to decimal display pattern and set a precision in which Prinect to display values:
Display precision set by default
Using an extended display precsion
COMMENTARY: The length (L) and the line's Dx value are divisible by the denominator set in the precision (here 1/32) and the their values can be displayed as fractions. But the Dy value is not divisible by any of the denominators 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32, and is therefore automatically converted into a decimal with precision 4.
Here's how to do this switch to decimal-only display of values:
To switch to decimal display pattern from the default display
The Units tab appears.
NOTE: No extended precision value is currently set.
Now each time when you are drawing objects whose value cannot be computed precisely with the default units of measurement and their set precisions, Prinect will display the values as decimal numbers using the precision you have set in Extended display precision. See examples:
