Splitting overlapping areas with a line

By using the split-with-line clip path conflict resolution you use a line to split the clip path in two. The program then computes an optimal angle between the splitting line and the x-axis, according to the conflict at hand. To determine the best split, you can additionally orient the line at the angle that you find most suitable.

To use line-splitting to resolve clip path conflicts

  1. On the contextual edit bar, click Split with Line , and consider the splitting options.

The program selects the optimal angle between the splitting line and the x-axis.

  1. (Optional) To set a different angle, in Angle enter a value and press ENTER or TAB.
  1. Use the mouse to position the line, and then click.

A choice-selection dialog appears if there are more than one possible splits with the current line (pictured).
