Inserting images

You can insert external images into 1up and layout drawings. You can use two modes for inserting images:

• Image, in which you define a rectangle into which the image will be inserted centrally.
• Quick Image, in which the image is inserted to fit the 1up or layout drawing in an automatically defined bounding rectangle.

The images that you can use may be of the following formats: BMP, JPEG, PNG, PICT, TIFF, TARGA, PCX, and Windows Metafiles.

Notes

• In the current drawing, when you view images as background (To do so, in the graphical area, right-click, point to Show, and then click Background images), you cannot select them in the graphical area.
• If you do not have a license for the program's Drafting module, the buttons which control the insertion of images can be accessed from the 3D Presenter toolbar.
