Breaking down (exploding) bleed into individual objects

When applied, the clip path (bleed) is a continuous line. If you want to make specific fine-grained modifications to individual sections of the bleed, you can break it down to individual objects, and then modify only the sections that you are important for your work.

You can break the clip path (bleed) down to individual objects.

IMPORTANT: Exploding the bleed is an action that cannot be reversed. That is, you cannot revert to the earlier state of the bleed by, for example, using the Undo operation or pressing CTRL + Z.

To break down a clip path (bleed)

  1. On the Layout tab, click Modify Bleed Modify Bleed Button, and then on the contextual bar click Explode Bleed Explode Bleed Button.

The bleed is no longer a single object but consists of multiple individual objects, each of which is listed in the tabular view (arcs).
