You can easily and quickly position a folded 3D model so as to view its front, back, left, right, top or bottom side. The front view functionality always rotates the model, repositioning it so that the set base panel faces you.
NOTE: The base panel is indicated
by a cross-hatch-pattern symbol in the Panel
Name column in the tabular area.
When selected,
the panel is highlighted in the visual area.
The base panel is what defines which side is the model's front, back, left, right, top and bottom.
To make a panel adopt central, frontal view
By clicking a button, you can position the model in any of the six predefined view sides without the need to rotate in the visual area.
In the 3D model area, the model begins to rotate until the selected view sides takes frontal position.
If you start rotating the model by hand, EngView updates the view sides button, which displays the view side that is currently facing you. You also see a corresponding tooltip when you place your mouse cursor over the icon.
