Setting a tool's end position for split design processing

If while processing split designs you need to set an end position for the tool's head that is different from the start one, you need to add a custom machine property to your machine. The procedure that follows applies when the design that's to be cut is split into three or more sections.

To set an end position for the tool head

1. On the Tools menu, point to CAM, and then click Machines.

The CAM Machines dialog appears.

2. Click the MCS and Alignment tab, and then, in the End Position area, set the location of the end point.

3. Click the Machine Custom Properties tab.
4. Click Add.

A blank row appears.

5. In Name, type EndZoneInEndPoint.

6. In Value, type 1.

7. In the CAM drawing, insert splitters, and proceed with processing the design.
