Aligning dieboards by its contents

About dieboard alignment

You align dieboards by using two properties of the dieboard:

Align and Template Properties

General Rules

  1. The drawing is always aligned with 0xy of the dieboard template (pictured).
  1. The drawing's cut box is used to align the drawing to the dieboard's 0ху. There two methods of alignments:
    • Cut box's bottom center: When the dieboard align type is Bottom-Center.
    • Cut box's center: When the dieboard align type is Center.

Examples

The examples that follow show three cases of aligning a dieboard with its contents.

CASE 1: Dieboard Alignment: Bottom-Center. Board Template 0xy: Bottom-Center

When it is applied, the drawing will be positioned this way:

Bottom-Center of the drawing's cut box is aligned to 0xy of the dieboard, which is also at the bottom-center of the dieboard template.

CASE 2: Dieboard Alignment: Center. Board Template 0xy: Bottom-Center

This a incorrectly defined dieboard. When this dieboard is applied, the drawing will be positioned this way:

Center of the drawing's cut box is aligned to 0xy of the dieboard, which is at the bottom-center of the dieboard template.

CASE 3: Dieboard Alignment: Center. Board Template 0xy: Center

To create a dieboard that centers the contents, the template's 0xy must be at the center.
