DXF/DWG options

Import Options pertaining to the import of AutoCAD DXF files into Package Designer.

Import layers in

Different drawings Imports the layers of a DXF drawing as separate drawings in a project.

One drawing Imports the layers of a DXF drawing into a single drawing in a project.

Default Units

AutoCAD defaults Imports the DXF drawing with the metric units for AutoCAD that were applied when the DXF file was created.

EV current units Imports the DXF drawing with the metric units as they are set in the Metrics tab.

Detect relations Detects relations in the drawing.

Import blocks Imports the blocks in the DXF file.

Prefer true color Treats colors according to the RGB display mode and not according to a color look-up table.

Detect Bezier shapes Displays the available Bezier shapes in the DXF files. If the check box is empty, the program reduces polylines and Bezier curves down to sequences of simple objects — normally, arcs and lines.

Insert blocks as parts Inserts DXF blocks as discrete parts.

Export Options pertaining to the export of Package Designer files into AutoCAD DXF files.

DXF version Specifies the AutoCAD version to which you are exporting EngView files.

Export dimensions Exports dimensions along with the drawing(s) into the DXF file.

Export hidden objects Exports hidden objects along with the drawing(s) into the DXF file.

Create blocks Creates DXF blocks in the exported DXF file.

Export true color Colors are exported according to the RGB display mode and not according to a color look-up table.

Export production thickness Exports the thickness set for production purposes. IMPORTANT: By default, the check box is selected. Leave it empty if you plan to use the exported DXF/DWG drawings in Adobe Illustrator. This guarantees that no structural problems will arise when you open the exported drawings in Illustrator.
