When stripping dies are being designed, often there is a number of stripping elements that consists of complementary parts mounted on both dies. To guarantee precision in the manufacturing of these elements, an automatic transfer mechanism is implemented that ensures that the elements' matching parts on the male and female dies fit smoothly. In EngView , this transfer mechanism is determined by a set of rules (line style convention) on the strength of which:
NOTE: The rules apply also for objects to which styles inherited from the MaleStrippingDie and FemaleStrippingDie are assigned.
By default, EngView installs a set of stripping elements to which the line style convention is applied. These are parametric components which can be created and modified with EngView Synergy.
NOTE: Users can add custom elements of their own to this set of stripping elements. By default, the components for female stripping dies are installed in \\EngViewWork7\Settings\Features\StripClips; those for male stripping dies in \\EngViewWork7\Settings\Features\StripPins.
