Displaying statistical data

You can use statistical information about your drawings. You can check:

The total length, as measured by the style applied to objects.
Area, as measured for the board, sheet and layout.
Other production-related properties — margins, number of 1ups and rule-to-rule lengths.

You can follow these statistics:

In the Statistics dialog box.
In 1up and layout drawings (length only)

Using statistics

To access the statistical functions, on the Tools menu, click Statistics. The Statistics dialog box appears, which has three tabs: Length, Area, and Additional.

IMPORTANT: The length-and-area statistics functionality shows only the lengths of and areas defined by non-hidden objects. In generating these statistics, EngView ignores:

Explicitly hidden objects as well as objects hidden as a result of hiding the style applied to them.
Objects hidden as a result of hiding the layers to which they are assigned.
Objects hidden as a result of hiding the components that contain them (including hidden individual objects within otherwise non-hidden components).
Objects for which the Conditional Visibility property is set to Currently Invisible.
