Designers have access to a comprehensive library of over 2500 resizable boxes and displays for carton, corrugated board and other sheet materials. The software is integrated with Adobe® Illustrator® to deliver pixel-perfect graphics and optimizes the production files that feed the printing and packaging machines. Bringing innovation with every new version, the EngView software helps packaging and display producers optimize their workflow and increase profitability. This new release introduces seamless integration with Hybrid’s PACKZ prepress software, the industry’s leading PDF editor for packaging and labels. This powerful combination promises to expand automation capabilities and boost productivity for the folding carton industry, offering a seamless workflow from design to prepress. Hybrid-EngView integration to boost productivity for the folding carton industry The newly released EngView Package & Display Designer Suite 2024 features an advanced integration with Hybrid’s PackZ software, marking a significant leap forward in the automation and efficiency of packaging design and prepress processes. This collaboration between EngView and Hybrid has been in the works for several months, with both teams dedicated to enhancing the user experience for professionals working with folding carton and corrugated packaging. The design process begins with EngView Package & Display Designer, where users can select from an extensive library of ready-to-use parametric designs or create custom boxes from scratch. EngView’s advanced CAD software allows for precise modifications and resizing, providing users with unparalleled flexibility and control. With the new integration, users of both EngView and Hybrid software benefit from an automated, continuous workflow that connects the entire design and prepress process. Projects created in EngView can be easily shared in a designated cloud space accessible to the entire team. Hybrid’s PACKZ users can then access these projects directly from the EngView cloud, opening dielines and layouts into their prepress workflow to add graphics and finalize files for printing. New Features in EngView Shared Space EngView’s commitment to innovation extends beyond integration with Hybrid’s software. The 2024 release also introduces powerful new features within EngView Shared Space, designed to streamline the customer approval process and enhance collaboration. Designers can share live 3D models of the final structure with clients and team members, complete with graphics, finishing effects, and folding sequence animations. These models can be exported as videos, offering a versatile tool for presenting and sharing designs. One of the most exciting features is the incorporation of Augmented Reality (AR). This functionality allows customers to visualize their packaging or display in a real-world environment before production begins. By using the camera on their smartphone or tablet, customers can place the 3D model of their packaging or display directly in the store or on the shelf where it will eventually be displayed. This immersive experience provides the most realistic preview possible, enabling customers to make informed decisions and confidently approve designs. In addition, each design uploaded to EngView Shared Space now automatically generates a QR code, making it easier than ever to access and interact with designs on mobile devices. This feature simplifies the process of reviewing and approving designs, enhancing the overall flexibility and convenience of the platform. "Once again, drupa - the No. 1 event for printing and packaging technologies - proved to be the place for success." This statement was shared by many in the packaging and printing industry after attending this huge, busy and vibrant event, held in Dusseldorf, Germany, from May 28 to June 7. Our EngView team flew in from around the globe, with representatives from the USA, Latin America, Germany, and our home base in Bulgaria. The anticipation was high, as it had been eight years since the last drupa. Despite only 15 of us being present in Dusseldorf, the entire EngView team played a vital role in our preparation, from delivering new software versions and creating demo scenarios to managing logistics and even folding giveaways :) . Our booth featured a unique knowledge tree symbolizing our 25 years of experience in the packaging industry. This tree represented our commitment to learning and growing alongside our customers, integrating their insights and our expertise into EngView software with cutting-edge technology and the minds of brilliant mathematicians. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the talented individuals who helped us design and construct our sustainable booth: Maximilian Hansen from Nordwerk Design brought our tree concept to life. Einar Ek from Re-board Technology supplied the lightweight, sustainable 16mm premium material. We used Re-board for all booth furniture, including the front desk, box and poppy displays, back walls, storage room, and shelves. Everything was made from fully recyclable paperboard, minimizing environmental impact. Daniеl van Vliet from Van Vliet Printing BV expertly printed and cut the Re-board. Our booth attracted numerous visitors eager to learn more about EngView software for the design and production of packaging and POP displays. We reconnected with many partners during the show, including machine producers, software providers, and web-to-print solutions. At drupa 2024, we had the opportunity to meet professors from esteemed educational institutions we currently partner with, such as the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, Vrij Instituut voor Secundair Onderwijs (VISO) in Belgium, the University of Novi Sad in Serbia, and Marmara University in Turkey, and those we are soon to donate our software to. We believe that sharing our packaging knowledge with the next generation of talented designers is crucial for the future of our industry. Throughout the 11 days of the show, we continuously demonstrated EngView software at our booth. Additionally, every day at 14:30, Kris Hanchette from our team gave live demos at Hybrid Software's booth, showcasing the cutting-edge EngView packaging software and its seamless integration with HYBRID Software. If you couldn't attend in person, you can watch the demo online and experience the innovation from anywhere: Watch the Demo. You can also check out our YouTube channel, where we've posted many exciting videos from the show. Kris Hanchette, VP Sales North America, shared: "For EngView Systems, this show was an incredible success. We spent valuable time with current customers and met many new ones. It was an excellent venue to build our partnerships. Many of us are based around the world, and this was a great opportunity for the team to strengthen our relationships and learn from each other." Tsvetelina Nacheva, Marketing Manager of EngView, commented on the successful show: "Events like drupa are important for us because they bring us closer to our customers, the industry, and our users. It's a good reality check to hear our customers' problems and provide solutions that optimize their workflow. Sometimes, we figure out the solution together with designers, determining which tasks to automate and which processes to optimize to make their work easier and more efficient."
