Creating actions
This page explains how you can create actions.
Actions are part of steps.
Make sure you have created the step into which you want to create the
action. Also, you can move actions between steps.
To create actions in a single-part folding sequence
- In the tabular area, select the step in which you want to create
the action.
- In the graphical area, click the panel whose position you want
to adjust with the action.
A contextual edit bar appears above the graphical
area.
- In the contextual edit bar, in Action select an action:
Fold, Prefold, Bend on radius, or Bend along Cone.
NOTE: The Bend along cone action controls
the folding along a cone or a cylinder. It appears as an option only if
you have marked an object — an arc or a line — to be a guideline.
- To set the folding, do any of the following in the contextual edit
bar:
- In Angle, select (or type) an angle value, and then press
ENTER.
- Use the folding angle slider to set
the angle of folding.
To create actions for structures a multi-part sequence
and inserted objects.
- In the graphical area, click the inserted
objects.
A contextual edit bar appears above the graphical
area.
- Consider your situation:
- To move an inserted part. In the contextual edit
bar, in Action select Perpendicular Move, Parallel Move or
Sliding Move. The Distance and Angle options become
available.
- To change the state of an inserted part. In the
contextual edit bar, in Action select Deconstruct or Construct.
The New Phase option becomes available.
NOTE: The Deconstruct action executes the steps of the
inserted part up to the beginning of the selected phase. Constructing
executes the steps of the inserted part up to the end of the selected
phase.
- Depending on your case, type values for Distance and Angle,
respectively New Phase, and then press ENTER to set the action.
