Preferences for importing external file formats

This section guides you through the associations that EngView applies to imported files in various formats. The following settings apply to all file formats.

For details about each file format, click the respective entry in the dialog's left pane.



Show warnings during import During import, warnings appear indicating inconsistencies that may lead to problems.
Ignore all unrecognized Ignores all objects with line types that are not included in the existing linetype-to-style associations. This means these objects are not imported. If the check box is left empty, the objects are imported in a default, normal style.
Line thickness in points During the import, the thickness of all lines is converted into points.

Layout Naming These settings control what name an imported layout drawing will have in a EngView project.
Use source name The layout drawing is imported with the name it was given when it was created outside EngView.
Ignore layout source name During import, ignores the original names assigned to layout drawings. When files are imported into EngView, the layout drawings are named "Layout", "Layout1", "Layout2" and so on.
Use File Name for Layout After the file has been imported, the layout drawing has the same name as the file name.
